"The Underworld" is one of my favorites from a collection of instrumental rock/electronica songs that I composed for a CD entitled X-treme Drama (Vol. 1 & 2). This was exciting at the time because it was one of my first publishing deals (that is, for an entire CD collection). The music from these CDs has subsequently been featured in TV shows and commercials around the world (France, Australia, Japan, Sweden, and Germany). "Star 69." This song was written and recorded in 1999 at Tin Pan Alley Studios in Manhattan. It features elements of both hard rock and electronica. There is a definite Nine Inch Nails/Rob Zombie influence at play. In 2000, a video was produced for this song and it is my understanding that it still occasionally airs on the show VIDEO CITY (Warner Bros. TV – NYC). © 1999. Words and Music by Darren Wilsey. "â?¦Easily" is the critically acclaimed debut CD from the New York based rock band FUZZ BOX. Their music is a hybrid of modern and classic rock. Inspired by 70â??s rock bands such as Kiss, Cheap Trick, and Led Zeppelin, FUZZ BOX has created an eclectic rock album that encompasses modern recording technology with the raw passion of a vintage rock band.
Well known for their theatrical live shows and stage antics, FUZZ BOX has established a loyal international fan base. In 1999, the band was featured in the motion picture "The Entourage" filmed in New Yorkâ??s legendary club CBGBâ??s.
From the wall of guitars and thunderous drums on the opening track "What Youâ??re Looking For" to the piano driven rock ballad"Donâ??t Tell Me", the four members of FUZZ BOX (Patrick Klein, Darren Wilsey, Shane Stineford, and Giovanni Fusco) have recorded a rock CD that covers an impressive spectrum of influence and style. Simply put, FUZZ BOXâ??s debut "â?¦Easily" is a modern classic rock album on CD.
